What is the point of using Graphics?

Graphics is about using pictures, charts, drawings and diagrams.

The key purposes of using graphics are illustrated by these examples:

• making explanations easier to understand e.g. As in a diagram of the heart

• presenting information e.g. Road signs.

• showing relationships e.g. Family trees.

• capturing attention e.g. advertisements and flyers.

• simplifying complex information e.g. a map of the London underground.
